If you're on the lookout for a culinary adventure that brings the heart of Japan to Farnham, you're in for a treat at Sushi Jun. Nestled on South Street, this charming izakaya-style restaurant is more than just a meal; it's an experience that envelops you in authentic flavors and warm hospitality.

Here at Sushi Jun, the cuisine is primarily Japanese, showcasing a variety of dishes that highlight the delicate balance of taste and presentation that Japanese food is known for. From the moment you step inside, the inviting decor and the aroma of freshly prepared dishes instantly transport you to a cozy eatery in Tokyo.

The menu is thoughtfully crafted, featuring a broad range of offerings that cater to every palate. For those seeking something delightful to share, the Small Plates section is a treasure trove of flavors. Imagine sinking your teeth into perfectly crispy Gyoza, or the oozing goodness of Takoyaki, served just right. For a heartier option, you must try the Donburi, with favorites like the Salmon Ikura Don (£18.90), which is not just a feast for the taste buds but also a feast for the eyes. Its glistening salmon paired with ikura (salmon roe) over warm rice creates a symphony of textures and flavors, while the Gyudon (£13.50) brings tender beef and tangy onions together for a comforting experience.

If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss the dessert section. Indulge in the creamy richness of Mochi Ice (£6.50) or the uniquely delightful Dorayaki with Vanilla Ice Cream (£6.50). Each bite is a decadent end to an already impressive meal.

As highlighted by our customers, Sushi Jun is known not only for its exquisite food but also for the attentive service that makes every visit memorable. Jane, a satisfied patron, sings praises of the "efficient staff" and encourages booking a table, as this beloved gem can fill up quickly. Martin Ferrari appreciated the balance between quality and price, showcasing that a delightful evening for two can be crafted within a reasonable budget.

The restaurant buzzes with positive energy, creating an atmosphere that's both welcoming and vibrant. Connor, a frequent diner, describes Sushi Jun as one of the "most authentic experiences" he’s had in the UK, ensuring that each visit feels special and personalized.

So whether you're a sushi aficionado or a first-time explorer of Japanese cuisine, Sushi Jun is the perfect destination for an unforgettable meal. With every visit, you’ll find yourself embracing the delightful company of friends or family amidst the wonderful flavors that make the Japanese culinary tradition so beloved. The sushi quality vs price was good! Two people, we paid £50 The selection is varied enough to hit the sweet-spot of everyone’s taste. The wait wasn’t massive, the waitresses were really nice so nothing to point out other than: We made a reservation for the evening and we arrived with two 2-people empty tables and the receptionist still insisted on putting us at the bar, we had to decline of course. They put us at the table in the end, but not great! Would have been 5 stars service if not for that.

Fell in love with this place! Excellent food, efficient staff. I would recommend to book a table, so you will get a space. Adding pictures of half eaten food too good to picture tho

Sushi Jun is a little gem of a restaurant in Farnham. We’re lucky to have such a lovely izakaya style Japanese restaurant here in the Surrey countryside Everything is freshly made, so food will arrive as it’s ready. The menu covers a lot of favourites - tempura, Hirata buns, sushi, udon noodles, donburi rice bowls. It won’t be a cheap evening out but it’ll be delicious

Been going here for a while and it’s hands down the best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to! The food is amazing, authentic, looks just like the photos and the atmosphere’s lovely. I can’t recommend this place enough!! If you like Japanese food, are in farnham and have the budget ABSOLUTELY go here.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Never had bad service and the food is outrageous. After visiting Japan a couple of times, Sushi Jun is genuinely one of the most authentic experiences I have had in the UK.

Delicious food. Service was a bit slow. My mum and I finished our mains and my bf's main didn't come out yet. Nice small restaurant Price was good. Spent £74 for 3mains and 1 starter and a volcano sushi. Oh and volcano sushi was a lil disappointing as it didn't have that nice charred flavour on the salmon.

Absolutely amazing place. Fabulous prices for what you get, incredible, authentic atmosphere, friendly staff. The food is delicious and looks exactly like the pictures! Couldn’t recommend enough if you have the money (~£20-30 per person)

My partner and I really enjoyed the food here. All of our main dishes were very fresh, plenty flavourful and good portions too. We arrived without making a reservation so we were seated at the sushi bar, which is understandable. The dessert was enjoyable. The service was brilliant, there is only a few servers in the restaurant and it was quite busy and yet they were still prompt with their service. I would highly recommend going here and I will definitely be back again.
